Our GCSE History pupils and younger historians took part in an unforgettable trip to the Amalfi Coast in Italy this term. They were able to visit Pompeii and see for themselves the preserved remains of this once thriving commercial city. This part of the trip also involved climbing the volcano Vesuvius- currently inactive of course!
Pupils also had the opportunity to visit the Colosseum in Rome, the site of the famous gladiator battles, and to see the historic Vatican City.
Our pupils were immersed in Italian culture and learnt so much about the history of Italy during their visit. A big thanks to Miss Howells for organising the trip and giving our pupils such a wonderful experience.
