The High Attainers Programme at PenYDre seeks to personalise and enrich the curriculum for those pupils identified as 'high attainers' through subject specific criteria. The programme is informed by ACCACC and DFES guidelines for best practice in teaching gifted and talented children.

All staff have classroom guidelines for teaching high attaining pupils, and have access to the 'high attainers regiter'.  Staff carry out a yearly self-reflection exercise in order to evaluate and improve provision, and receive appropriate INSET.

High attaining pupils receive opportunities for curriculum enrichment both inside and outside the classroom, and are recognised and rewarded through yearly celebration events.
